We have unprecedented access to information regarding the LGBTQ+ community, which faculty and staff can leverage to create a safe environment for students learning about their identity and a positive representation of allyship to our cisgender and heterosexual students. This session offers an overview of the history, key vocabulary, issues currently facing the community and our students, and strategies for creating welcoming and affirming environments for all.
